Hello! Let me introduce myself. I’m Ronnie, an independent celebrant who, like you, likes to do things outside of the “norm”…

As a celebrant, I host weddings, renewal of vows, hand fasting, naming ceremonies (for babies as well as those who may be starting a new life after divorce, gender re-assignment) and funeral or memorial services.

Did you know that you can customise your wedding/ funeral or other service?

This is what is unique about choosing a celebrant-led ceremony: your important milestone celebrations will reflect who you are. We listen to your story and share ideas to create a ceremony based on how you live your life, that are as distinct as you are.

After all, if you live an alternative life, why change just to fit other people’s ideas, when you can have the ceremony that fits yours?

I certainly had a wedding to remember – and I want that for you! You can have a ceremony that rocks! You don’t need to hide your tattoos or cover your piercings because society says you have to have a “normal” wedding. Be proud of who you are!

About me…

Us celebrants know the importance of bonding with the people we create and deliver ceremonies for. And, since I’m going to be with you for the most important ceremonies of your life, I’d better tell you a bit about myself – especially as I’m going to be getting to know you, to create your story!

Some know me as a history and folklore buff, some know me as a comedy or horror performer, some know me as a punk/goth/ metalhead, and some refer to me as that ‘bird with pink hair’. But most know me as Ronnie.

I’ve been living a less than normal existence for as long as I can remember. I’ve been a punk/ Riot Grrrl drummer, fronted an industrial band and when all that failed, I started writing for music magazines, including Terrorizer, rock sound and now Metalhead. I’ve interviewed bands for a living for over 20 years.

I’ve done all kinds of other jobs from running the actors’ company at The London Dungeon to producing cabaret shows and events and I’ve even been a tour guide for the National Trust – which I loved!

I’m married to Stu (pic by Tina K). We live in Wales with cats, guitars and strange artwork. We had an awesome wedding, we had a brilliant after-party and when we leave this world, we want to go out in a way that reflects the way we lived.

So if you have come to my website because you want to get married, celebrate your love with a renewal of vows, welcome a new life with a naming ceremony or say farewell to a loved one in a way that reflects them – AWESOME! It will be my pleasure to work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your individuality and while I do not conduct religious services, I am happy to include any spiritual or religious elements.
